Job summary

Core Group is recruiting an experienced Fabricator to join a well-established workshop in the UK. The role focuses on fabricating structural steel components in accordance with GA drawings and specifications, delivering high-quality workmanship.

The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, with 40 hours per week and overtime available. Ongoing training and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabricating steel components to GA drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• MIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.

Job description

Pay: £12.71 - £20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week, with overtime available

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication of structural steelwork and steel-framed building components, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel components from General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.
• Ensure all fabrication work is completed to a high standard of quality.
• Use and maintain workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Contribute to a positive and productive workshop environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret GA drawings.
• Experience working with steel-framed structures is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
• Experience using a variety of fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
• MIG welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
