Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established engineering business in their search for a Fabricator Welder to work in Skelmersdale. You will fabricate mild steel, stainless steel and structural steel components from engineering drawings, with MIG and TIG welding, in a workshop environment.

The role is temporary with ongoing work, paying up to £22.00 per hour (CIS), with overtime at enhanced rates. Hours are 7:00am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–12:00pm Friday.

Qualifications

• Fabrication of steel components from engineering drawings.
• MIG and TIG welding experience in workshop environment.
• Experience with mild, stainless and structural steel.
• Experience manufacturing tanks and vessels.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate mild, stainless and structural steel components from drawings.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding to required quality standards.
• Inspect parts and ensure high quality and accuracy.
• Work in a busy workshop in Skelmersdale.

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established engineering business in their search for a Fabricator Welder to work in Skelmersdale.

Job Role: As a Fabricator Welder, you will be based in the workshop manufacturing a wide range of steel products from start to finish. The Fabricator Welder will fabricate mild steel, stainless steel and structural steel components while carrying out MIG and TIG welding. Working from engineering drawings, you will manufacture tanks, vessels and structural fabrications, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy throughout. This Fabricator Welder role offers ongoing work within a busy engineering environment.

Job Details

• Pay: Up to £22.00 per hour (CIS)
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Hours of Work: 7:00am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am-12:00pm Friday (41 hours per week)
• Duration: Temporary (On-going)
• Benefits: Immediate trade tests available

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Fabrication of steel components.
• Competent working from engineering and technical drawings.
• MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and structural steel.
• Experience manufacturing tanks and vessels.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in Fabrication and Welding.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previously coded in MIG welding.
• Previously coded in TIG welding.

Additional Information

• All work is workshop based.
• Working with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Immediate trade tests available.
• Commutable From: Skelmersdale, Warrington, Ormskirk, Haydock, Wigan, St Helens, Liverpool, Manchester, Chorley.
