Job summary

Thrive Trowbridge is partnering with a client in the Chippenham area to recruit a Welder / Fabricator on a permanent basis. The role involves MIG welding to a high standard, interpreting drawings, and fabricating components with precision to tight tolerances.

You will use a range of welding equipment (MIG/TIG/MMA), interpret technical documents, and work Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays. A NVQ Level 3 or time served is expected.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience essential with various welding procedures (TIG/MMA).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use electrical and manual tools to prepare and finish components.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld to high standard producing accurate parts.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for fabrication.
• Fabricate and assemble components, cutting and finishing materials to prep for welding.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining high quality.

Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in the Chippenham area who are actively looking to recruit a Welder / Fabricator to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

• MIG welding to a high standard, ensuring that products are accurately manufactured in an effective and timely manner
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to manufacture parts accurately to tight tolerances
• Fabricate and assembly of components as well as cutting, drilling, grinding and preparation of materials prior to welding
• Meeting deadlines and targets whilst working to a high standard

What you will need to succeed:

• Previous MIG welding experience essential including using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG/MMA)
• Ability to use electrical and manual tools
• Experience in interpreting technical documents and drawings
• Well-organised approach and an eye for detail
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines with excellent communication skills
• NVQ Level 3 or time served
