Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise is seeking a skilled welder to join the Barton Under Needwood team on a rail project. You will perform Mig, Tig and stick welding to tight drawings and quality standards, including vertical and overhead work. The role offers a 6-month+ contract and a competitive hourly rate with long-term career opportunities.

Air-fed welding masks are provided once started, with PPE supplied and a focus on safe, high-quality workmanship within a specialist engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Previous welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience welding in vertical and overhead positions.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment.
• Own helmet and flame-retardant overalls are expected.

Responsibilities

• Weld MiG, TIG and stick welding (Vertical and Overhead positions).
• Weld Butt & Fillet joints (Vertical and Overhead).
• Weld and repair rail components.
• Work to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Adhere to site health and safety requirements.

MiG, TIG Welder

Pay: £18.20 rising to £18.79 per hour (£36,156 per annum)

Location: Barton Under Needwood

Contract: 6 months +

We are currently recruiting for skilled welders to join a growing team, location is in Barton Under Needwood. This role offers the opportunity to work on rail industry components, carrying out high-quality welding and repair work on rail components.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out:

• MiG, TIG and stick welding (Vertical and Overhead positions)
• Butt & Fillet Welding (Vertical and Overhead positions)
• Welding and repair of rail components
• Working to engineering drawings and quality standards
• Adhering to all site health and safety requirements

• £18.20 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £18.79 per hour
• Equivalent annual salary of £36,156
