Job summary

Ford & Stanley Group is seeking an experienced MMA/MAG welder. Initially based in Doncaster for training, you will transition to a permanent base in Barton Under Needwood, welding rail components and repairing manganese liners to exacting standards.

This long‑term role offers training, a steady workload, and a clear career path with contract or permanent options. You will receive air‑fed welding masks and join a specialist engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with MMA and MAG welding.

Responsibilities

MMA / MAG Welder

£18.79 per hour (£36,156 per annum)

Training Location: Doncaster

Permanent Base Location: Barton Under Needwood

Contract or Permanent Opportunity Available

Are you an experienced Welder looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent earning potential and specialist training provided?

We are currently recruiting for welders to join a growing team, initially based in Doncaster for training, before transitioning to a permanent working location in Barton Under Needwood. This role offers the opportunity to work on rail industry components, carrying out high-quality welding and repair work on manganese liners. You will recieve an additional 2 hours pay while on training in Doncaster plus milage.

The Role

• MMA Fillet & Lap Welding (Vertical and Overhead positions)
• MAG Butt & Fillet Welding (Vertical and Overhead positions)
• Welding and repair of Manganese Liners
• Working to engineering drawings and quality standards
• Adhering to all site health and safety requirements

Requirements

• Previous MMA and MAG welding experience

• Own flame-retardant overalls
