Probe UK Limited in Accrington is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to produce high-quality welded and fabricated components to drawings and specifications. You will contribute to keeping production on schedule, with a strong eye for detail to ensure first-time-right output.

Qualifications

• Time-served Welder/Fabricator or equivalent qualification.
• Strong MIG/MAG and TIG welding skills to produce high-quality welds to specification.
• Confident interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols with good measuring skills.
• Quality-focused and technically capable with a Right First Time mindset.

Responsibilities

• MIG/MAG and TIG welding to high standards, ASME requirements and WPS.
• Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols and specifications accurately.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal, including flame cutting, bending, grinding and finishing.
• Set and operate fabrication machinery, maintaining quality, productivity, H&S and Lean standards.

The Role

The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated components to drawings, specifications and required output levels, taking real pride in delivering work right first time. Safety, quality and full product traceability are key, so you'll need a strong eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining consistently high standards throughout the production process.

Welder / Fabricator Pay, Hours and Benefits

• £32,030 salary - is for Days Only Shift: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:15pm, with a 12:30pm finish on Friday's
• £42,998 salary - is for Twilight Only Shift: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday: 4:00pm - 12:00am, 12:00pm - 6:00pm on Friday's
• 32 days holiday's including bank holidays
• Production Bonus Scheme

Welder / Fabricator Position is Commutable From: Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, Bury, Rochdale

Welder / Fabricator Candidate Requirements

• Time-served Welder/Fabricator or equivalent qualification - ideally a coded welder with pipe welding experience.
• Strong MIG/MAG & TIG welding skills, producing high-quality welds to specification and required standards.
• Confident interpreting engineering drawings, weld symbols and work instructions, with good measuring skills.
• Quality-focused and technically capable, taking ownership of work and driving a strong Right First Time approach.
• Reliable team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement; robotic/seam welding or laser experience advantageous.
