Job summary

Major Recruitment in Shipston-on-Stour is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator for a straight permanent role. You will fabricate high-end architectural steel windows/doors using MIG and ARC welding from technical drawings. Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with 40 hours per week. Salary £16–£21 per hour, experience-dependent, with overtime rates of 1.3x weekdays and 1.5x Saturdays. No Sunday work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator, ideally with architectural steel/windows/doors.
• Able to read and interpret engineering or architectural drawings.
• capable of producing clean, neat welds and precise fabrications.
• Punctual and able to commute to Shipston-on-Stour workshop.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate high-quality, bespoke architectural steel windows and doors from technical drawings.
• Utilise MIG and ARC welding to join thin and medium-gauge steel sections.
• Cut, grind, drill and prep steel components to exact tolerances.
• Self-inspect work to ensure flawless finishes for high-end clients.
