Job description

Intelect are an award winning electrical and mechanical engineering company with bases in Middlesbrough, Leicester and Grimsby, predominantly servicing process industries such as food and beverage manufacturing, utilities, heavy industry and renewables. We are currently looking for an experienced Welder to join our growing team in Middlesbrough with an immediate start available.

The candidate must be motivated and hardworking and must have a willingness to learn and adapt, they must also be willing to travel to various client sites across the UK.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Ability to work within a team/on own to fabricate jobs
2. Proven experience working with Stainless Steel and Mild Steel
3. Ability to read and fabricate from engineering drawing

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Time Served Apprenticeship
2. A full UK driver’s license
3. Experience working within the food, chemical industry advantageous
4. Skills for interpreting mechanical drawings, documentation and data
5. Various safety qualifications such as CSCS Card / site safety passport / MEWP / IPAF / SSSTS are desirable but not essential as full training can be provided

Working Hours

1. Full time – 37.5 hours per week, with overtime available at time and a half and double time dependent on hours
