Job summary

Navantia UK is hiring skilled Time-Served Welders for Methil. The role requires 4G minimum, strong FCAW experience, and capability to weld in all positions including Butts and Fillets. Experience with ceramic backing tiles, SAW, MCAW, and mechanised welding systems is preferred.

On-site work at Methil offers competitive base pay, a company pension, 31 days holiday, life assurance and a health care cash plan. BPSS clearance is required in onboarding.

Qualifications

• Time-served welder – 4G minimum.

• Ability to weld in all positions (Butts & Fillets).

• Familiar with mechanised welding systems.

Responsibilities

• Join Navantia UK Methil team on major UK maritime and industrial projects.
• Undergo in-house weld testing; tests witnessed by Navantia UK and IACS.
• Operate in multiple welding positions and processes as required.

NOW HIRING: Welders – Methil (Navantia UK)

Navantia UK, a key player in advanced shipbuilding and heavy fabrication, is expanding its workforce in Methil and is looking for skilled Time-Served Welders to join our team.

• Time-served welder – 4G minimum
• Strong experience with FCAW
• Ability to weld in all positions – Butts & Fillets
• Experience working with ceramic backing tiles
• SAW
• MCAW
• Mechanised welding systems

If you do not currently hold personal welder codings, in-house weld testing is available.

Process: 136 / FCAW

You will be tested on:

• PF / Vertical Up – Root, Fill & Cap
• PA / PE – Flat Root (basic cored wire) / Overhead Fill & Cap
• Supplementary PB / Flat fillet weld

All testing is witnessed by Navantia UK personnel and an IACS representative.

Methil, Fife – working on major UK maritime and industrial projects.
