Job summary

Rolls-Royce in the UK is seeking a Skilled Welder to weld Nozzle Guide Vanes (NGVs) using Work Instructions, technical information and drawings to ensure components meet the required specification.

You will work to set deadlines to support performance targets and customer delivery commitments, while maintaining high Health & Safety standards (COSHH) at all times. The role requires a recognised apprenticeship (City & Guilds/NVQ3/SVQ3) in engineering and TIG welding experience.

Qualifications

  • Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3/SVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Experienced of TIG Welding to agreed standards is essential.
  • Experience in working withNickels/Steels and Alloys.

Responsibilities

  • Weld NGVs using Work Instructions, Technical Information & drawings to ensure all engine components are welded to the highest standards and conform to specifications.
  • Work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments.
  • Maintain high Health & Safety standards and COSHH compliance at all times.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset).

Job description

  • Welding Nozzle Guide Vanes (NGVs) using Work Instructions, Technical Information & drawings, using the information to ensure all Engine components are welded to the highest of standard and are conforming to the required specification.
  • Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to a high standard, at all times.

  • Experienced of TIG Welding to agreed standards is essential.
  • As a Skilled Welder you will have experience in working with Nickels/Steels and Alloys.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset).
  • An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
