Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an EC&I System V&V Engineer to join the on-site Derby team. You will deliver verification processes and artefacts for EC&I products, including hardware-in-the-loop testing and test rig development.

The role requires extensive V&V experience, strong high-integrity electrical/electronic system knowledge, and proficiency in Excel; Python/VBA/MATLAB/Simulink experience is advantageous. Security clearance will be supported by Rolls-Royce.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, Software Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
  • Extensive Verification & Validation experience, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
  • Strong technical understanding of high-integrity electrical and electronic systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience analysing and interpreting test data.
  • Experience with Python, VBA or MATLAB/Simulink would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Generate V&V processes and tools for testing and analysis of test evidence.
  • Take ownership of verification of one or more EC&I products.
  • Review requirements and allocate appropriate verification methods.
  • Develop algorithm emulators, test procedures and test scripts.
  • Design, deploy, operate and maintain bespoke test rigs and sensor simulators.
  • Conduct testing of EC&I equipment and compile verification evidence and reports.
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams to support deployment of equipment on boats.

## **Job Description****Job Title:** EC&I System V&V Engineer**Working Pattern:** Full Time -Days**Working location:** Derby (5 Days onsite)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join our growing EC&I Verification & Validation (V&V) team.The EC&I V&V team is responsible for delivering verification of the next-generation Rolls‐Royce nuclear reactor control system.
