Job summary

Sapien Engineering, near Camberley, is seeking a Welder Fabricator to join a UK manufacturer specialising in bespoke filtration and engineered process solutions. The role focuses on fabricating and welding stainless steel housings and components for specialist filtration systems.

The position requires TIG welding on stainless steel and reading engineering drawings. Experience in an engineering or manufacturing workshop is essential; sheet metal/MIG welding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience on stainless steel.
• Previous experience working within an engineering or manufacturing workshop.
• Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings.
• Consistent and accurate fabrication and welding capability.
• Experience with sheet metal work and MIG welding would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate stainless steel housings to specification.
• Carry out TIG and MIG welding activities to a high standard.

• Support the development of tooling and improved manufacturing methods.
• Ensure all completed products meet required quality standards.

This is a hands on manufacturing role focused on the fabrication and welding of stainless steel housings and associated components used within specialist filtration systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate stainless steel housings to specification
• Carry out TIG and MIG welding activities to a high standard
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Support the development of tooling and improved manufacturing methods
• Ensure all completed products meet required quality standards
• Work closely with production and inspection teams throughout manufacture
