Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talent Services Group Ltd is recruiting MIG Welders for a long‑term opportunity. Initial training in Doncaster with remuneration support, then permanently based at Barton Under Needwood. Work on rail components, performing high‑quality welding and repair work and learning new welding processes.

You’ll join a skilled team and contribute to overhaul and repair of mechanical rail components, with opportunities to develop skills across multiple welding techniques.

Qualifications

• You’ll bring experience of MIG welding and fabrication.
• Background in welding and fabrication across MIG, TIG, Stick, MMA or Fluxcore is acceptable.

£18.79 per hour (£36,156 per annum)
Monday to Friday – Days

Training Location: Doncaster (3 months + additional remuneration support while on training)
Permanent Base Location: Barton Under Needwood

We are currently recruiting for skilled MIG Welder’s to join a growing team, initially based in Doncaster for training, before transitioning to a permanent working location in Barton Under Needwood. This role offers the opportunity to work on rail industry components, carrying out high-quality welding and repair work, also giving you the opportunity to learn new welding processes

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring experience of MIG welding, and fabrication

• A background in welding and fabrication in either MIG, TIG, Stick, MMA, or Fluxcore
• Experience of welding on between 2mm and 10mm mild steel
• You will be able to weld different angles such as vertical and overhead
• Must be able to work from engineering drawings and instruction Adhering to all site health and safety requirements
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Able to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Must be open to training in Doncaster and then once trained being based in Barton Under Needwood

Essential Criteria

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in welding or a similar field
• Minimum 1 years’ experience
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening#
