Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Daventry is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join a clean, modern workshop. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and predictable hours with early finishes every Friday.

You will read engineering drawings, set up welding equipment and produce high-quality welds in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The team values workmanship and reliability, with ongoing training and development provided.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• Background in manufacturing, fabrication or engineering.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Reliable, positive approach.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• MIG and/or TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• Setting welding equipment and selecting consumables.
• Fabricating components using cutting, grinding, fitting and tack welding.
• Ensuring welds meet required quality and specification.
• Inspecting completed work and identifying issues.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working as part of a close-knit production team to meet deadlines.
• Producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.
