Job summary

Whitgift School is seeking a proactive Sports Centre Duty Manager for weekends to support the busy facility, ensuring safety, cleanliness and welcoming service for pupils, staff, clubs and the local community.

Reporting to the Sports Centre Manager, you will supervise operations, coordinate lifeguards on duty, monitor health and safety, and rotate weekend shifts (Sat/Sun). Requires a current NPLQ or NRASTC and First Aid certification, with experience in sports, leisure or recreation preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NPLQ or NRASTC qualification.
• First Aid certification required.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Experience in a sports, leisure or recreation environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Sports Centre operations and lifeguards on duty.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and emergency procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, security and smooth running of the facility.
• Rotate weekend shifts: Saturday/Sunday 8am–1pm/2pm or 2pm–7pm/9pm as required.
