Job summary

Whitgift School in Croydon is seeking a proactive Sports Centre Duty Manager for weekend shifts. The role oversees centre operations, supervises lifeguards, ensures health and safety compliance and delivers high-quality customer service to pupils, staff and community users.

Hours are weekend only with rotating shifts (Sat/Sun) from 8am to 1pm/2pm or 2pm to 7pm/9pm as required. Applicants must hold a current NPLQ or NRASTC and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a current NPLQ or NRASTC qualification and First Aid certification, together with excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Sports Centre operations and daily activities.
• Manage lifeguards on duty and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and assist with emergency procedures.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and maintain cleanliness and security.
• Rotate weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) 8am–1pm/2pm or 2pm–7pm/9pm as required.
