Job summary

Gressingham Foods is seeking a Temporary Weekend Farm Worker to assist with the day-to-day operation of the farm. The role focuses on collecting eggs, maintaining quality, and supporting hatchery processes during weekend shifts at the site.

Working hours are early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays, with a fixed-term contract until 6 August 2027. Own transport is essential due to the remote location.

Responsibilities

• Collect eggs daily
• Help achieve target number of settable eggs per female and fertility level
• Grade and stack eggs as required by hatchery
• Monitor and report repairs to buildings and machinery
• Liaise with line manager and site staff to ensure smooth information flow
• Maintain company policy on site and assist with welfare on site
• Carry out other tasks relating to poultry farming as required
