A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced technician for a weekend position in Patient Services. Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient pharmacy operations. Candidates must hold NVQ Level 3 and ACT qualifications. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced technician to apply for this post. The post-holder will work in Patient Services to provide a safe, efficient and responsive dispensary service at the weekend. This role includes provision of legally required supervision of staff as well as fulfilling professional duties. You will work as part of a team consisting of Pharmacists, Technicians and Assistants. The work primarily consists of dispensing and checking prescriptions for inpatients and discharge medication. Additional responsibilities include managing workflow and working alongside pharmacy staff to ensure that dispensary services are provided according to all relevant up to date procedures and standards. The post holder will need to be NVQ Level 3 qualified and have relevant ACT qualification. You will be required to attend the department during weekday hours for induction and training. Further weekday hours may be available depending on service needs on staff bank. ACPT qualifications are essential for this role. To effectively participate in the provision of inpatient pharmacy services at West Middlesex University Hospital at weekends. To follow relevant procedures in order to deliver the service in a safe and effective manner. To supervise and co-ordinate junior staff and pharmacy assistants.
