Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a major global manufacturer with a strong UK presence. The role is based in Blaenau Gwent on a weekend shift (Friday to Sunday, 7am–7pm) and offers a starting salary of 35,000–45,000 plus a company pension and more.

You will handle breakdowns, proactive and preventive maintenance, and fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems. Experience in manufacturing environments and a four-year indentured apprenticeship are essential, with

Qualifications

• 4-year indentured apprenticeship is required.
• City & Guilds or ONC in mechanical or electrical engineering would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Breakdowns, proactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, improvements.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Kit: hydraulics, pneumatics, injection mould machinery, panels, inverters, motors, switchgears.
• PLCs - Siemens S5 and S7.
• Understanding of legionella checks, fire alarm system checks, permits to work, risk assessments.
