Job summary

Hunter Selection are helping a major global manufacturer in Blaenau Gwent recruit a Maintenance Technician for a weekend shift (Friday to Sunday, 7am–7pm). You will handle breakdowns, proactive and preventive maintenance, and continuous improvements across plant equipment.

Working with hydraulics, pneumatics, injection mould machinery and power panels, you’ll diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, tune PLCs (Siemens S5/S7) and service inverters, motors and switchgear.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Technician / Engineering role.
• Must have undertaken a 4 year indentured apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds or ONC in mechanical or electrical engineering would be a bonus.
• Manufacturing environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Breakdowns, proactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, improvements.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics, injection mould machinery, panels, inverters, motors, switchgears.
• PLCs - Siemens S5 and S7.
• Legionella checks, fire alarm system checks, permits to work, risk assessments.
