Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is sourcing a Weekend Maintenance Engineer for a leading polyurethane foams manufacturer in Stoke-On-Trent. The role involves day shifts Fri-Sun, 12-hour days (6am-6pm) with a £50,000 salary plus pension, overtime and benefits.

You will perform varied maintenance across gearboxes, conveyors, ovens and more, on a lower-tier COMAH site. The successful candidate will be a time-served engineer with mechanical or electrical bias and experience with PPM systems, and will receive

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained mechanical or electrical engineer with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience in proactive and reactive maintenance.
• Understanding of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day engineering and maintenance on site to high standards.
• Maximise machine efficiencies on a COMAH site with mechanical/electrical bias.
• Work on equipment such as gearboxes, conveyors, fans, motors, ovens and pumps, with training to broaden skills.

With over one hundred manufacturing establishments in twenty countries, they employ over 11,000 people worldwide. With almost 500 employees, over 6 sites UK wide, markets include automotive, furniture, bedding, medical, nursery, and retail, they are once again looking to expand their engineering function, with the addition of 2 engineers, 1 working a day shift, and 1 working a night shift.

The Role

The successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies, on this lower tier COMAH site. The jobholder will be a time served engineer with a mechanical or electrical bias and have experience working on PPM systems. You will also work on filter pumps and general mechanical equipment including gearboxes, conveyors, chain drives, fans, motors, wrappers and ovens, together with other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
