Job summary

Buckinghamshire Libraries in the Aylesbury area is seeking a part-time Library Resources Assistant for weekend shifts at Aylesbury Library. You will deliver library services, support digital resources, and help customers with loans and signposting to council services.

This fixed role involves working across sites, with occasional travel to other libraries in Buckinghamshire for relief cover. The pattern is 4 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 12–4, plus Sat 12–4).

Qualifications

• If you're brilliant at helping customers with enquiries, with skills to promote and help access to digital services, and you have an interest in libraries as community hubs, then we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Directly deliver library services to customers and resolve enquiries relating to library loans, digital services, computer use, and signposting to council services under the library's role as a Council Access Point.
• Support a team of dedicated staff to maintain the library collections through shelving, stock management, and book displays.
