Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Crewe area for HGV Class 2 Weekend Drivers. Shift: Saturday and Sunday, with starts at 6am and 5am respectively. Role involves securely moving palletised parcels, handling 1–2 stops, and assisting with loading using a tail lift and pump truck, while representing the company professionally.

Pay £14.60 per hour PAYE. Requirements include a Full UK licence (Class 2), valid DCPC and Tachograph, and no more than 6

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and in-date DCPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely move palletised parcels to couriers or collect from delivery units.
• Handle runs with 1–2 stops, ensuring safety and accurate paperwork.
• Assist with loading/unloading using tail lift and pump truck when required.
• Interact with customers and represent the company professionally.
