Job summary

Equans is recruiting for a Weekend Caretaker to join Noel Baker Academy, Derby, DE24 0BR. This permanent, part-time role is 18 hours per week with a salary of £12,458.16 per annum. Shift times: Saturday and Sunday 8:30am – 5:30pm.

You will ensure health and safety compliance, carry out light maintenance, snow clearance, and site clearance. DBS clearance is required and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience within the FM industry.
• Good Timekeeping and attendance record.
• Physically fit to carry out general duties.
• Outgoing personality with strong customer service focus.
• Proven experience delivering a high-quality service with attention to detail.
• Experience of completing Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
• Live within 20 miles Derby.
• DBS clearance is a prerequisite of the position.
• Evidence of the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws and company policies.
• Carry out first line investigations into building faults and arrange referrals.
• Carry out minor maintenance and planned maintenance tasks.
• Snow clearance and gritting in the winter months.
• General clearance to the exterior of the building (litter, leaves).
• Observe site rules and maintain a smart appearance.
• Provide cover for holidays, sickness and emergencies when required.
• Disclose DBS clearance if required and pass checks as part of the role.
