Job summary

Weekend Engineering Supervisor role in Witney: lead a small team to carry out planned maintenance and reliability tasks during the weekend shutdown. The job requires hands-on leadership of 3 engineers and close collaboration with a fellow supervisor to schedule PPMs around production.

Experience in PPM, reliability maintenance, and SAP is essential. The role is based on weekends (Friday to Monday days) with the expectation of prioritising tasks and delivering improvements in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Strong PPM & reliability maintenance experience.
• Ability to lead from the front, prioritise tasks and organise PPM schedules effectively.
• Experience as a team leader or proven track record of working towards goals.
• Ideally multi-skilled engineer.
• Time-served apprenticeship beneficial.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement & reliability engineering.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing environment advantageous.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
• Comfortable being the most senior person on site over weekends.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on leading a team of 3 engineers to complete planned maintenance & reliability tasks.
• Work closely with the other engineering supervisor to organise PPMs around production.
• PPM workload allocation, prioritisation of tasks, completion of work orders in SAP.
• Create new PPM plans, monitor reliability engineering and suggest improvements.
• Continue hands-on tasks with electrical & mechanical PPMs, CI work and repairs of production machinery.
• Liaise with storesperson to report used spares and forecast future needs for weekend PPM tasks.

Do you want to work for a leading manufacturer, with the job security of being part of a global group. They are looking for a Weekend Engineering Supervisor to lead a team that carries out all PPM and reliability engineering activities during the weekend shutdown period.

Role & Responsibilities of the Weekend Engineering Supervisor

• Hands-on leading a team of 3 engineers to complete planned maintenance & reliability tasks


• Work closely with the other engineering supervisor to organise PPM's around production


• PPM workload allocation, prioritsation of tasks, completion of work orders in SAP


• Create new PPM plans, monitoring reliability engineering and suggest improvements


• Still partake in hands-on tasks with the team, electrical & mechanical PPM's, CI work and repairs of production machinery

• Ideally have used SAP systems or something similar


• Comfortable being the most senior person on site over the weekends
