Job summary
Sirona Medical Limited is recruiting Endoscopy Nurses to support NHS insourcing at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary in Scotland. This temporary role offers weekend sessions with competitive pay and opportunities to contribute to essential patient services and reducing NHS waiting lists.
Ideal candidates are Registered Nurses with NMC registration and Endoscopy experience, able to assist gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and maintain infection prevention standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Experience in Endoscopy department.
- Competent in gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and endoscopy safety procedures.
- Able to work confidently in a busy clinical environment.
- Has relevant mandatory training and compliance documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide pre- and post-procedure care.
- Support consultants and the multidisciplinary team during endoscopy sessions.
- Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical care standards.
- Ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with insourcing team to ensure efficient patient pathways.
