Job summary

Sirona Medical Limited is recruiting Endoscopy Nurses to support NHS insourcing at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary in Scotland. This temporary role offers weekend sessions with competitive pay and opportunities to contribute to essential patient services and reducing NHS waiting lists.

Ideal candidates are Registered Nurses with NMC registration and Endoscopy experience, able to assist gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and maintain infection prevention standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in Endoscopy department.
• Competent in gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and endoscopy safety procedures.
• Able to work confidently in a busy clinical environment.
• Has relevant mandatory training and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide pre- and post-procedure care.
• Support consultants and the multidisciplinary team during endoscopy sessions.
• Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical care standards.
• Ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with insourcing team to ensure efficient patient pathways.

Pay: £325.00

Endoscopy Nurses Wanted – Sirona Medical is currently recruiting experienced Endoscopy Nurses to support an established NHS insourcing service at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Endoscopy Nurses looking to undertake additional shifts within a hospital environment while supporting the delivery of essential patient services and helping to reduce NHS waiting lists.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide appropriate pre- and post-procedure care.
• Support consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team during endoscopy sessions.
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety and clinical care.
• Ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the insourcing team to ensure efficient patient pathways.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Previous experience working within an Endoscopy department.
• Competence in assisting with gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and endoscopy safety procedures.
• Ability to work confidently within a busy clinical environment.
