Job summary

Wilson’s Country Ltd in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, is seeking a part-time despatch operative to join the warehouse team. You will collate orders, label goods, pick and wrap pallets, and arrange hauliers on Sundays, with Saturday or Sunday or both shifts possible.

Basic pay is £13.34 per hour with overtime opportunities and full training provided. The role requires accurate data entry with handheld scanners, stock rotation, and safe manual handling.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numerical skills
• Able to work accurately in fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety and quality
• Good communication and organisational skills; work well in a team
• Willing to use a handheld scanner and enter data (training provided)
• Experience in despatch or warehouse preferred
• Counterbalance and/or electric pallet truck licence/certificate (within last 3 years)
• Must have right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Who we are:

Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and processed potatoes.

We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.

Due to our continued success and business growth we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as adispatch operative.

PART TIME – working hours can be discussed at interview but will include either Saturday or Sunday or both days.
Saturday’s working hours are usually 7.00am-4.00pm.
Sunday’s working hours are usually 10:30am-5.00pm

There may be opportunities for overtime depending on the business needs.

Our basic pay rate £13.34 per hour.

The successful applicant will work in a despatch team, collating orders and loading trailers and will also be responsible for receiving customer orders and arranging hauliers on Sundays. The main tasks of the role include:

• Entering label details, printing labels and labelling goods
• Picking orders
• Building and wrapping pallets as necessary
• Stock rotation
• Loading trailers
• Printing despatch dockets and any necessary despatch paperwork
• Accurately calculating figures, recording information, data entry and using a handheld scanner;
• Manual handling activities
• Receiving and processing customer orders
• Liaising with haulier and monitoring proof of delivery dockets

• Have a good basic standard of literacy and numerical skills
• Are able to work accurately and with attention to detail in a fast-paced working environment
• Have a good general awareness of food hygiene, health & safety and quality aspects
• Have good communication and organisational skills and are able to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a team
• Prepared to use a hand held scanner and enter data (full training provided)
• Relevant experience in despatch or warehouse
• Counterbalance and/or electric power pallet truck licence/certificate (obtained within last 3 years)
• Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom

Successful applicants will be offered:
