Job summary

Weekend Chef role at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital in Glasgow, with Sodexo, offers 22.5 hours per week across a 3 days out of 7 pattern and occasional weekends. You’ll prepare high-quality meals, manage your own kitchen section, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and Food Safety Level 3 preferred.
• Experience preparing and cooking fresh food in catering, hospitality or healthcare.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality food service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Prepare and serve fresh food in line with company standards and budget guidelines.
• Follow all health & safety, food safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across kitchen areas.
• Respond promptly to feedback, escalate concerns when needed.
• Support stock security, minimise waste and report incidents.

Education
