Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a Chef for healthcare catering in Folkestone on a part-time basis (14 hours per week), weekends only.

You will prepare and serve high-quality food, oversee menu changes, monitor inventories and hygiene, and contribute to creative food concepts while keeping safety standards. The ideal candidate holds City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, has a Food Hygiene certificate, and experience supervising a kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Supervise kitchen teams and support shift leads.
• Develop and adjust menus to meet client needs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening to customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting the creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Healthcare and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
