Job summary

Equans is recruiting a Weekend Catering Assistant to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA on a permanent basis working 15 hours per week. On offer is salary of £10,679.00 per annum and benefits package.

You will provide food and beverage services to customers, assist in all general duties including food preparation and cleaning, and help with day-to-day site operations under the Catering Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is essential.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.

• Assist with all aspects of food preparation and presentation in line with current food legislation.
• Prepare and serve food as directed by the Catering Services Manager and Assistant Catering Services Manager.
• Support the day-to-day running of the site and carry out general catering duties as directed by management.

Shift Pattern:

Saturday & Sunday
1st week 6:30am-2:30pm
2nd week doing 10:30am-6:30pm

This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential

What will you deliver?

• To provide and maintain food & beverage services to customers, and to assist in all general duties including food preparation and cleaning.
• To assist with all aspects of food preparation and presentation in accordance with current food legislation.
• To prepare and serve food as directed by the Catering Services Manager and Assistant Catering Services Manager.
• To assist the Catering Manager and Assistant Catering Services Manager with the day to day running of the site, and carry out general catering duties as directed by the Management team.
