Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Support Worker for Saltgreens Residential Home in Eyemouth. This 14.25-hour-per-week role involves weekend rotas and delivering person-centred practical and emotional support as outlined in individual care plans.

You will promote residents' health and well-being, assist with personal care, meals, hydration and mobility as needed, and administer medications under training. SVQ2 desirable; PVG Adults processed by SBC; training provided.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• PVG Adults - we will do this for you! SSSC registered.
• All training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.
• Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.
• Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
• Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users' medication, following relevant training.
