Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Support Worker for Saltgreens Residential Home, Eyemouth. The role is permanent with 19.75 hours per week, offering a salary of £14.37–£15.10 per hour (£27,739.05–£29,147.42 pro rata per annum).

You will provide person-centred practical and emotional support, promote wellbeing, assist with daily activities, and administer medications as trained. PVG Adults processing and SSSC registration are covered by us.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• PVG Adults – we will do this for you! SSSC registered.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred practical and emotional support as per individual care plans.
• Promote health and well-being and meet service users' needs in an inclusive way.
• Support, enable and involve service users in daily activities, including personal care and mobility as required; administer medication safely with training.

Rota

Week One: Monday 8am-4pm, Thursday 3pm-10pm, Friday 8am-2.30pm

Week Two: Monday 4pm-10pm, Saturday 8am-4pm, Sunday 4pm-10pm

The Role

Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.

Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.

Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.

Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users' medication, following relevant training.
