Job summary

Somerleigh Court Care Home is seeking a Weekend Receptionist to provide a warm, friendly welcome and professional meet-and-greet for visitors. You will support admin tasks and ensure the reception runs smoothly, with a focus on excellent customer service.

The role emphasises strong communication, listening skills and competence with IT systems, plus willingness to cover additional hours including Christmas periods.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or higher.
• Excellent listener with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate and able to use IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the 'champion' and 'face of the home' providing a professional meet & greet service to all visitors and callers.
• Ensure the reception area and areas around the home are well maintained and welcoming.
• Collect and report all customer feedback to the Home Manager and offer recommendations for improvements.
• Build strong relationships with the Home Manager, staff, residents and their families to promote a positive environment in the Home.
• Support the Admin Manager with their duties and cover when they are on annual leave.
