Job summary

Anchor is seeking a compassionate Weekend Care Assistant for our dementia care home in KT24 6SU. The role covers Saturday and Sunday shifts, totaling 26 hours per week, on-site with a permanent part-time contract.

Shifts run 7 am–9 pm, supporting residents with personal care, meals, mobility, and social activities while maintaining dignity and independence. We offer a stable weekend schedule and welcome applicants who value companionship, accurate records, and high-quality, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support residents with eating, drinking, and mobility needs.
• Build positive relationships and provide companionship.
• Encourage participation in activities and social engagement.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
