Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Yorkshire is seeking a Cardboard/Baler operative at the Yorkshire Parcel Hub, Normanton. This fixed-term 6‑month role covers 12 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday, 6am–6pm) with a pay of £12.71 per hour. You will bale cardboard and plastic, with full training provided and no prior baling experience required.

The job involves manual handling in a physical environment, working independently or with a team, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at all times.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift large sheets of cardboard into a baling machine.
• Friendly, reliable and self-motivated.
• Able to work independently and manage own time.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and managers.
• Committed to cleanliness and safety.
• Previous baling experience is a bonus, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a baling machine to bale cardboard and plastic.
• Perform a physical, hands-on role with training provided.
• Maintain spaces that are clean, safe and welcoming.
