Job summary

AbbeyDLD group is seeking a Sessional Non-residential Boarding Assistant to support a boarding team and promote student welfare. You will monitor boarders, assist with daily routines and liaise with Matron and staff to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

The role involves weekend shifts and working within safeguarding policies. Ideal candidates have experience in boarding or non-residential settings, strong communication skills, and a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Experience working in boarding or non-residential environments.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding/Child Protection and National Minimum Hours of work.
• Willingness to work weekends and nights as required.
• First aid training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive, constructive relationships with students.
• Promote welfare and safeguarding of young people while adhering to policies.
• Work with the boarding team to provide care and support to boarders.
