Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Activities Assistant at one of our care homes to deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities for residents on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-6pm). This role focuses on creating an engaging programme that motivates residents and suits individual interests.

You'll lead entertainment and social activities, outings and events, helping residents live as independently as possible and stay connected with family, friends and the local community.

Qualifications

• You don't need any specific experience to join us as an Activities Assistant.
• What matters is a sense of fun, creativity, and the ability to encourage and motivate others.
• Enthusiastic and empathetic approach to helping residents live their lives to the full.

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to residents.
• Help deliver an entertainment and activities programme covering pastimes, social activities, outings and events.
• Assist residents to live as independently as possible and stay connected with family, friends and the local community.
