Barchester Care Home is seeking an Activities Assistant to deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities that motivate and fulfil residents’ lives. You’ll design engaging programmes that cover a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings and events, helping residents pursue interests and stay connected with family and the local community.

You’ll be enthusiastic and empathetic with a genuine interest in people, enabling residents to participate fully while developing your skills through

Qualifications

• You don’t need any specific experience; enthusiasm and ability to motivate others are key.
• Enthusiastic and empathetic with a genuine interest in helping residents.
• Willingness to develop skills through courses to build confidence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities for residents.
• Support an entertainment and activities programme across pastimes, social events, outings.
• Help residents live as independently as possible and engage with family and community.
