Job summary

St Piers is part of Young Epilepsy, the UK's leading charity dedicated to creating better lives for children and young people with epilepsy and associated conditions. Based on our campus in Lingfield, Surrey, we provide specialist education and residential care for young people with a range of additional needs, including epilepsy, autism and severe learning disabilities.

We’re recruiting a Residential Support Worker on a term-time basis (38 weeks/year) with Monday–Friday shifts and no weekends.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required.
• We value kindness, patience and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting young people with daily living skills and independence.
• Providing personal care where required with dignity and respect.
• Building positive relationships to help young people feel safe and supported.
• Encouraging participation in education, hobbies, recreation and community activities.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families.
• Recording important information and contributing to care plans.
• Celebrating progress and recognising every achievement.
