Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for an established transport operation in the UK. The role offers consistent weekday trunking work, with approximately 55 hours per week and an hourly rate of £18.50.

Duties include depot-to-depot trunking, with loading/unloading handled by forklift, and strict compliance with road transport rules. The position is temporary but ongoing, with potential longer-term opportunities for reliable drivers.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Category C+E entitlement, a valid Digital Tachograph Card and a valid Driver CPC Card.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points; DR, DD, IN, CU endorsements cannot be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Transport loads safely between depots on regional and national trunking routes.
• Carry out depot-to-depot driving with adherence to road transport and working time regulations.
• Conduct vehicle checks and ensure journeys comply with safety standards and regulations.
