Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for night trunking work across nationwide depots. You will perform depot-to-depot runs, with a maximum of three trips per shift, including loading/unloading double-decker trailers and completing routine vehicle checks.

Shifts run Monday to Friday at night, with optional weekend work. Pay is £16.00–£20.00 per hour (gross), with up to 28 days holiday pro rata. Temporary contract with long-term ongoing hours available.

Qualifications

• A valid, in-date HGV Class 1 licence (Category C+E).
• A valid Driver CPC Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Confidence handling and unloading double-decker trailers.
• At least 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• A reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Completing depot-to-depot trunking runs between nationwide depots.
• Carrying out up to three runs per shift.
• Handling and unloading double-decker trailers.
• Completing vehicle checks.
• Ensuring loads are transported safely.
• Following delivery schedules and driving regulations.
