Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Birmingham is seeking an active DVSA Class 4 MOT Tester & Service Mechanic to join our technical team. You will conduct official Class 4 MOT inspections in full DVSA compliance and perform routine servicing and vehicle safety checks across a wide range of customer cars.

You will also handle fast-fit repairs (brakes, tyres, exhausts, suspension) and pre/post-test adjustments, delivering quality workmanship in a busy, customer-focused workshop.

Qualifications

• Active DVSA Smart Card / Valid Class 4 MOT Tester Licence required.
• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven experience in servicing, fast-fit replacements and general repairs.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Class 4 MOT inspections to DVSA standards.
• Perform routine servicing and vehicle safety checks.
• Carry out fast-fit repairs across customer cars.
• Execute pre/post-test adjustments as needed.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team performance incentive
• Hours: Monday to Friday schedule (08:30 – 17:00) | No weekend shifts required

Role Overview
