Job summary

Stir is seeking a Catering Assistant to be the face of our service, delivering friendly customer service while helping prepare nutritious meals with fresh ingredients. You’ll be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, serving food and assisting with meal prep.

We offer Monday–Friday shifts, 15 hours per week across 38 weeks per year (term-time calendar). Opportunities for Apprenticeships and Learning & Development training are available; DBS disclosure may be required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, versatile personality suitable for a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills essential.
• Previous catering or food service experience is a bonus.
• Basic understanding of Health and Safety practices; Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service and serve food to students and staff.
• Handle tills and maintain clean, well-organised counters.
• Assist chefs with meal preparation and kitchen tasks.
• Ensure a clean and safe kitchen and dining area at all times.
