Job summary

Danish Crown UK invites applications for a Butchery Assistant Shift Manager in Bugle. You will lead the Line 2 team on a Monday–Friday shift 05:15–15:15, report to the Shift Manager, and ensure smooth line operation, yields, and production planning.

The role blends hands-on butchery expertise with strong leadership; you will coach staff, conduct interviews, manage room planning, and ensure health and safety compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a high-volume butchery or food factory environment.
• Strong leadership and shift management capabilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Line 2 team, conduct morning briefings and oversee shift manning.
• Plan daily room requirements and adjust orders on the PDB system while completing reports.
• Monitor yields and product changeovers, and ensure audit compliance.
• Provide coaching, training, and onboarding support for new staff.
