Job summary

Confidential is hiring a Content Review Specialist for a short-term project north of York. The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two in-office days per week, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office.

You will review and edit website content to ensure clarity and alignment with brand standards, making precise copy edits as needed. Key tasks include checking pages against approved terms, removing references, refining wording for grammar, and ensuring consistency across many pages.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written English and grammar.
• Experience with small copy edits.
• Able to use initiative and make sensible decisions.
• Experience working within guidelines.
• Competent Microsoft Office skills.
• CMS experience desirable.
• Independent worker comfortable with repetitive, high-volume tasks.
• Background in content/administration/marketing/website work beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Review website pages against a defined list of words, phrases, or topics.
• Identify and remove or amend references within the page copy.
• Make minor adjustments to surrounding wording for clarity and grammar.
• Systematically process a large number of pages following guidelines.
• Check completed pages for accuracy and consistency.
• Flag pages where changes are unclear or require guidance.
• Use judgement to ensure copy remains natural and coherent.
