Job summary

Potential Recruitment is seeking a commercially minded Web Merchandiser to join a fast-growing wholesale and retail client. You will manage products across Shopify stores, ensuring new products are built accurately, launched on time and presented effectively to customers.

You will analyse product performance, support new product management and collaborate with Buying, Commercial, Marketing and eCommerce teams. A proactive, detail-focused mindset and strong Excel skills are essential.

We are looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Web Merchandiser.

The YOU we are looking for will:

• Have an exceptional eye for detail and take pride in accuracy of their work
• Be naturally organised and enjoy keeping on top of a busy product pipeline.
• Able to think commercially rather than simply completing administrative tasks.
• Be curious about product performance and wants to understand why something is or isn't selling.
• Be comfortable challenging how products are presented and suggesting improvements.
• Able to confidently communicate with Buying, Commercial, Marketing and eCommerce teams.
• Takes ownership of their area and proactively identifies what needs attention

You will be responsible for managing products across our client's Shopify stores, ensuring new products are built accurately, launched on time and presented effectively to customers.

What YOU will bring to the role:

• Previous experience in eCommerce, online merchandising or product management.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple products and deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in understanding why products perform well or underperform.
• Confidence working with sales data and identifying trends.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, particularly Excel.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and opportunities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving eCommerce environment.

And if you have the following experience that would be appreciated and valued:

• Experience using Shopify or Shopify Plus.
• Experience managing large online product catalogues.
• Experience using website analytics, reporting or product performance tools.
• Understanding of online merchandising principles, including product sorting, collections, cross-selling and product discovery.
