Job summary

Dundee City Council is recruiting an IT professional to join the IT services team. This full-time role (37 hours per week) operates in a hybrid style, based at home and at Dundee House, with references requested later in the process.

You will lead on developing and maintaining Council software, work with PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML, and collaborate on integrations with third-party applications. A degree or HND in IT and strong troubleshooting and communication skills are required; a Level 1

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in IT or proven knowledge/experience in relevant work areas.
• Proven track record in development and implementation of IT software solutions.
• Significant knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead on successful delivery of IT projects within the Council's IT services team.
• Design, build, implement and maintain software applications for the Council.
• Implement, support and integrate third-party software applications.
• Lead technical development, maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis and repair.
