Job summary

University of Bedfordshire is seeking a detail-oriented Web Assistant to manage uploading new courses and keeping course information accurate on the website. You will collaborate with academic departments, update content via Umbraco CMS, and align pages with templates and SEO best practices.

You will audit pages for quality, fix broken links, and ensure accessibility, GDPR, and CMA compliance while maintaining a central asset repository and training staff on CMS usage.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMS management and updating course pages.
• Ability to work with diverse academic departments to gather content.

Responsibilities

• Manage the process of uploading new courses and ensuring all course information is accurate, engaging, and up to date on the website.
• Update courses via the Umbraco CMS in line with templates and SEO best practices.
• Collaborate with Copywriter to produce clear, consistent, and on-brand content.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain quality and fix issues such as broken links or outdated information.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, GDPR, and CMA regulations.
• Maintain a central repository of course assets and train academic staff on basic CMS usage.
• Monitor page performance to inform future improvements and align content with prospectus materials and open day promotions.
