Job summary

Onyx-Conseil is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Umbraco) to lead the eCommerce web and application development within the Digital team, driving technical decisions and improvements for an award-winning Travel Company.

You will collaborate with front-end and design resources to enhance UI/UX, automate processes with the business lead, and implement automated regression testing. The role involves working in an agile/Kanban environment and leveraging CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, React Framework, MS SQL Server, Mongo DB, Elasticsearch.
• Understanding of SOLID development principles.
• Worked previously on projects using the Umbraco CMS.
• Continuous Delivery skills, tools and techniques (e.g. Git, Github, Team City, Octopus, Jenkins, Selenium, etc.).
• Familiar with Azure cloud services & setting up/managing resources/deploying apps.
• Familiar with JIRA and Confluence.
• Capable of working with REST APIs documented with OpenAPI/swagger and other formats (JSON, XML, SOAP).
• Experience of PowerBI, PowerQuery and R; experience of structured testing and QA approaches (TDD/BDD).
• A positive cooperative team player; comfortable across departments.
• Experience in agile/Kanban and with JIRA/Confluence.
• Not afraid to challenge thinking to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading the eCommerce web and application development from a technical perspective.
• Collaborating with the front end developer and design resource to deliver improved UI & UX.
• Analysing and suggesting improvements to existing website features.
• Automating processes with business leads to improve efficiency.
• Implementing automated regression testing for the software developed.
